The post was in the 18th/19th Century on the only post route from Vienna to Paris, which is why people and gentlemen from all countries often stopped here. A former resident of the house reports on the transit of the later French Queen and then Austrian Archduchess Marie Antoinette in the spring of 1770. Napoleon, among others, also stayed here in October 1805. The former resident of the post office reports: “One day Napoleon, the great general and distributor of states, also came to the post office. He stayed for three days.”
