In the 18th / 19th Century the Post was on the only post route from Vienna to Paris, which is the reason why people from all over the world often came here. A former resident of the house reports about the transit of the later French queen and the then Austrian Archduchess Marie Antoinette in the spring of 1770.
Among others, Napoleon also came here in October 1805. The former Post resident reports: “One day Napoleon, the great general and distributor of states, came to the Post. He stayed for three days.”
