„It makes us happy when our guests feel comfortable.“
– Family Schumacher

Our motto is ‘carpe diem’ – seize the day. We view every day as a new opportunity. We create a place where our guests, the team and our family feel good and can flourish. We aim not just to meet our guests’ expectations, but to exceed them. Our guests are so delighted with us that they keep coming back. Our restaurant and everything we do are defined by what’s regional and seasonal. We buy locally wherever we can, and also support small farmers and direct sellers. We treat every guest and member of staff as we would like to be treated ourselves. Your opinion matters to us! Natural friendliness, joy in the work we do and a love of working with people are hugely important to us.

Our goals

Where history is guest

In the 18th / 19th Century the Post was on the only post route from Vienna to Paris, which is the reason why people from all over the world often came here. A former resident of the house reports about the transit of the later French queen and the then Austrian Archduchess Marie Antoinette in the spring of 1770.

Among others, Napoleon also came here in October 1805. The former Post resident reports: “One day Napoleon, the great general and distributor of states, came to the Post. He stayed for three days.”
